We want a tough lockdown to stop Covid's second wave, says aiims chief

Now we have to do a strict lockdown. ' On Saturday, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal announced that the tightening in the capital would continue for another week. Anthony Fouzio, a health adviser to US President Joe Biden, has spoken out in favor of the lockdown. In an interview, he said the supply of medical equipment like oxygen, medicines, PPE kits should be kept smooth. In other words, it is possible to prevent the infection only if the lockdown on the one hand and proper medical services on the other hand can be run in parallel. In that interview, without naming any government, Dr. Anthony said, "The victory was announced a long time ago."

What exactly did Anthony say? In his words, ‘India needs a complete lockdown on an urgent basis to break the chain of transmission. It should run for a few weeks. No one wants to lock the country.
