The News Cover: Sputnik V arrives in India from Russia. Corona vaccine on a special flight from Moscow to Hyderabad at 4 pm today. In the first phase, 1.5 lakh doses of Sputnik V have arrived in India. Another 1 million doses from Russia are expected to arrive in India this month.

Vaccines that are still being used in the country, both covshield and covacin - are not being supplied to vaccination centers as per the demand. In many cases, people who do not want to be vaccinated despite having their names registered are not getting them. Many have had to return from vaccination centers. Many government and private hospitals have stopped vaccination due to shortage of vaccines. The center has decided to use Sputnik V as a third option in this situation. One and a half lakh doses of its first batch arrived in Hyderabad on Saturday.

The previous two vaccines, Covishield and Covaxin, were made in India. Sputnik V was the first corona vaccine imported from Russia. Just last month, the DGCI approved the use of the Sputnik V in an emergency. Meanwhile, the process of giving corona vaccine to all those above 18 years of age has started from today. As a result, the demand for vaccines will increase more than before. In this situation, experts believe that Sputnik V will be particularly effective in corona vaccination in the country.

Incidentally, this antidote Sputnik V was first registered as a coronavirus antidote in the world market. It was made in Moscow. It is the third covid antidote in the Indian market. The Drug Controller General of India has agreed to use this vaccine to address the shortage of vaccines in the case of epilepsy.
