The News Cover: All records have been broken on the first day of free Covid-19 Vaccination. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated all those who have been vaccinated today. Modi also thanked the frontline Coronavirus Frontliners fighters and health workers for this unprecedented success. He also said, "India has done a very good job."

After the day-long corona vaccination across the country, Modi (PM Narendra Modi) wrote in a Twitter message on Monday evening, 'It is a great pleasure to have a record number of vaccinations today. Vaccines are the most powerful weapon in the fight against coronavirus. Congratulations to those who have been vaccinated. Thanks to all the front line fighters for working hard to vaccinate so many civilians (Covid-19 Vaccine). India has done a great job.

Free immunization of 18-year-olds has started in different parts of the country from Monday. According to the Centre's (Corona Vaccine Dashboard-dashboard.cowin.gov.in) statistics, 60,97,417 people in the country have been given corona vaccine doses till 8:30 pm on Monday. In all, a total of 26,33,13,942 corona tick doses have been given so far. The first dose was given to 23,26,44,613 people. The second dose was given to 5,05,69,129 people. The last time India's one-day vaccination hit a record high was on April 2. 42,75,158 covid doses were given that day.

However, this program has not been started in West Bengal yet. In this case, the state government has not provided enough vaccines. Mamata Banerjee's government has said that free immunization of all 18 seniors will be started on the basis of how many vaccines will be available tomorrow.

West Bengal Health Officer Ajay Chakraborty said, “The state now has 1.4 million doses of corona vaccine. It is not possible to vaccinate above 18 years of age with that amount of vaccine. The government will be able to take steps in this regard only if the supply of ticks increases. In that case we will take some time. He added, "We will continue vaccination on the basis of need. If we start vaccinating all adults now, the vaccines will not be available as needed.

The News Cover:  No question can be raised about the government's motives that are commendable. Experts around the world are also saying that it will not be possible to prevent the spread of the Covid 19 virus without building a strong immune system. But since May 1, the country has been facing the opposite problem. The right of all citizens above the age of 18 to get covid vaccine has been recognized, but it is not being provided in line with that demand. As a result, citizens are not getting slots in the nearby vaccination centers. Money transaction app Paytm has come forward to overcome that problem. From now on, the company will inform its users whether the slot is open at the nearest vaccination center.

It is learned that Paytm has added a new feature to their app called COVID-19 Vaccine Finder to help customers find the nearest vaccination center and find out if there are any slots. On the one hand, this feature will convey the news of the slot of the vaccination center to the customers, on the other hand, if the slot does not match, the notification can be set through it. As a result, vaccination is expected to be relatively simple. Vijay Shekhar Sharma, the founder of the company, recently tweeted from his official social media handle about this new feature. He said that the automated process of this new feature will be able to reduce the risk and waiting of the people to get vaccinated. He also mentioned that this COVID-19 Vaccine Finder feature will provide real time updates with the help of CoWIN API.

Not to mention coming to this place. Keep in mind that this COVID-19 Vaccine Finder feature from Paytm will only give you the news of whether or not there is a slot in the nearest center, nothing more. After receiving the real time update on whether there is a slot, users will have to book an appointment to take the vaccine through Arogya Bridge or CoWin app. Let's see how to activate this COVID-19 Vaccine Finder service of Paytm-

1. First of all, when you open the app, you have to enter it by clicking on Paytm's own Mini App Store below. 2. Now choose the Vaccine Finder option and type your pin code or district there. 3. In the next step, you have to choose between the 18+ and 45+ options. 4. Paytm will show you when the vaccination slot is available at the nearest center. 5. If slots are not available, click on Notify me when slots are available option. In that case, when the slot is available, the company will inform the user about it.

The News Cover: Adar Poonawalla, head of the world’s largest vaccine manufacturer Serum Institute of India (SII). Poonawalla is creating working hard to vaccinate India's massive population. Poonawalla is having a tough time balancing vaccine supply to India & foreign countries amidst a severe shortage and increasing demand.

Last week the Indian government had provided Poonawalla with security cover. He was given 'Y' security cover, which is the 3rd highest level of security in the country. CRPF Commandos would guard him 24x7. The government decided on the security cover because he was on the receiving end of dangerous threats. He was bombarded with threatening calls demanding vaccines.

This is why the government granted the security cover. He has now left the country and gone to London, United Kingdom, to be with his family for a short time. In an interview with a London newspaper, Adar Poonawalla said: I have been getting threats from people demanding instant supply of vaccines. These threats are from politicians, chief ministers, heads of conglomerates,

and some of the most powerful men in India and demanded they be given the vaccine first. It was very difficult for me to deal with. They can’t understand why anyone else should get the vaccine before them. There is a major demand for vaccines in India. Nobody is willing to accept a negative answer and has resorted to aggression. I have no problem with foul language.

It’s the implication of what they might do if I don’t comply. This is why I feel my life is in danger. People surround our manufacturing units which are disrupting our work. Since there is a clear safety issue, I left for London. I will return to India soon but I will stay here for some time. This is because I don’t want to face threats. I don’t want to constantly be afraid of what people might do if I refuse them the vaccine.

This is why I will remain in London. When asked who must carry the blame for the situation in India, Poonawalla said: “If I give you the right answer, or any answer, my head would be chopped off. I can’t comment on the elections or Kumbh Mela. It’s too sensitive." Poonawalla hinted at starting vaccine production in other foreign countries, one of which might be the UK. An announcement will be made soon.

The News Cover: Criticism started from various sections of the society after seeing the high price of Coronavirus Vaccine in the states. There were also questions as to why the state had to buy the vaccine at more than double the price of the central government. In this situation, the central government asked the Serum Institute and Bharat Biotech to reduce the price of the vaccine. Such a claim has been made on behalf of the news agency PTI.

The central government is buying each dose of Covishield vaccine from the Serum Institute for Rs 150. But the state government has to buy that vaccine for 400 rupees. And private hospitals will have to buy each dose of Covishield vaccine at Rs 600.

The high price of covaxin has also surpassed Covishield. State governments have to pay Rs 600 to buy a dose of covaxin, says India Biotech. And in case of private hospital the price will be 1200 rupees.

Several states have already said they will vaccinate the general public free of charge. But the question is where the huge amount of money will come from to buy the vaccine at such a high price. Doubts have also been raised as to whether it will be possible for the general public to go there and get the vaccine at a higher price if the private hospitals buy the vaccine at such a high price. As a result, questions are being raised about the success of the goal of vaccinating everyone over the age of 18.

As pressure mounted, the government eventually asked both companies to reduce vaccine prices. Now let's see what the two companies do.

From May 1, everyone over the age of 18 will get the vaccine. However, those between the ages of 18 and 44 must register online to receive the vaccine. Free vaccinations for people over 45 at government hospitals or vaccination centers will continue. But this service will no longer be available in private hospitals. After May 1, the vaccine recipient will have to bear the cost of vaccinating at a private hospital.

The News Cover: The second wave of Corona has hit the entire country. The rate of infection is increasing day by day. At the same time, the death rate is increasing. Many states in the country are short of medical oxygen, hospital beds and medicines. Especially people are dying due to lack of oxygen. Environmentalist Greta Thunberg is worried about the plight of India. This time he prayed for India's help to the world. "It's heartbreaking to see the situation in India," Thunberg tweeted. I will appeal to the whole world to help India cope with the second wave of corona in every possible way. ” Needless to say, the Corona situation across the country has taken a deadly turn.

An international media outlet covered the current state of India's health system. Thunberg tweeted a Ground Zero report from that media outlet that day. That international media reported a rate of more than three lakh corona infections per day in India. At the same time, they said, just a few hours from Delhi, they saw many people die due to lack of treatment. People are scrambling for oxygen. Such a scene has also been mentioned in that report. Greta Thunberg's tweet about the worrying situation in India is now viral.

Earlier, Greta tweeted about the peasant movement in India. The whole country is struggling to cope with the second wave of corona. Lack of oxygen, ventilator. Due to which the doctors are not able to save the lives of the patients. In the last 24 hours, about three and a half lakh new cases of infection have been seen across the country. More than two and a half thousand people have died. However, the number of patients who have recovered from the loss of corona is not less.

Why Corona Vaccine is more expensive for the state! Serum Institute argued

The News Cover: Questions have already been raised about the price difference in the open market for Covishield vaccine. Prices are low for the center. But the state will have to buy the same vaccine at more than double the price. In the case of private hospitals or nursing homes, the cost of the vaccine is more than three times. Why such duplicity! According to the Serum Institute of India, the Covishield vaccine center will be available at Rs 150. But in the case of state and private hospitals, the price of this vaccine will be 400 and 600 rupees respectively. Since then, the question has arisen, why the price of the vaccine will not be the same in times of danger across the country! This time Sajal Serum Institute argued for themselves.

From May 1, everyone over the age of 18 will be vaccinated across the country. Meanwhile, Serum has said that the comparison between the price of the vaccine in the Indian market and internationally is meaningless. Serum claims that Covishield is still the cheapest vaccine sold on the open market. A limited number of vaccines will be given to private hospitals at a cost of Rs 800, the agency said in a statement. Covishield is relatively inexpensive as a vaccine used to prevent the spread of deadly viruses such as covid. Ticker prices were kept very low from the beginning. Because many countries had advanced funding for the production of this vaccine.

Ginger Punawala, CEO of Serum, said his company has been producing vaccines for five decades. Ticker prices have never been exorbitant. He also claimed that the comparison of Kovishield prices in the international and Indian markets was baseless. Ginger Punawala claimed that the price of this vaccine was kept to a minimum from the beginning.

He said vaccine production began as a defense program. So the price of the vaccine was low from the beginning.
