On the same day, Bharat Biotech informed that the state governments will have to buy covaxin at the price of RS 600/-. Private hospitals will have to buy this covacin at Rs 1,200. Kovacin will be exported at a price of 15 to 20 dollars.

Earlier, the Seram Institute of India had said that their Covishield would cost Rs 400 for the state and Rs 600 for a private hospital.

Vaccination for people over the age of 18 will start from May 1. The government has already said it wants to identify more private vaccination centers to make the mission a success.
