In the last 24 hours, more than 26,000 people have been infected in Delhi. 365 people died daily. With this, more than 20,000 people have been infected in Delhi for 20 consecutive days. The number of active cases in the capital is about 1 lakh. In this situation the lockdown increased for another week.

According to health department sources, the upward graph of corona infection is worrying the Kejriwal government. Administrative officials concerned about the condition of hospitals, oxygen shortage. In this case, the rate of infection would naturally increase if the lockdown was lifted. In that case, experts fear that the health system of the capital will collapse completely. So the Delhi government officials did not agree to take the risk. They think that the decision to increase the lockdown is the best way to deal with the situation.
