News Cover: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday, urging him to build an airport in Puri to promote tourism in the state. He said that the state government has identified the land for the proposed Sri Jagannath International Airport in the coastal town.

He said that Rath Yatra of Puri is a famous annual event and lakhs of devotees from all over the world come every year. He said that having an airport in Puri would help the devotees to come here. Puri, the city of Lord Jagannath, is one of the four dhams of Hinduism. Sri Jagannath Temple is visited in Hindu Puri from all over the world.

Shri Jagannath Rath Yatra is celebrated in 192 countries worldwide. He also said that Konark's Sun Temple, which is included in UNESCO's World Heritage, is just 35 km from Puri and Ramachandi-Chandrabhaga Beach is also a center of attraction for people.
