The News Cover: The Union Home Ministry (MHA) announced the Unlock-4 guidelines on Saturday. Permission has been given to restore the metro service in Unlock-4. From September 7, ordinary people will be able to ride in the metro. Unlock-4 will be implemented from September 1. Educational institutions will remain closed in Unlock-4.
- Unlock-4 has been allowed to restore the metro service from 7 September.
- Now more relaxation will be given in the areas around the Containment Zone.
- The cinema hall, swimming pool and theater will be closed till 30 September.
- Open air theaters were allowed to open from 21 September.
- According to the Unlock-4 guidelines, social, educational, sports, entertainment, cultural, religious political ceremonies and other programs will be allowed from September 21 with a maximum capacity of 100 persons.
- 'Unlock 4' guidelines will be applicable till 30 September. It will be the responsibility of the state governments to follow them.
- The Ministry of Home Affairs said that the state governments will not implement any local lockdown outside the container areas without consulting the Center.
- It will be mandatory to put masks in metro stations and trains and without masks, people will not be allowed to enter the metro premises. Also, social distance between each other has to be followed.
- Metro trains will stop longer than the regular days for passengers to climb and take off so that passengers can follow social distancing.
- DMRC has said that as per the recent guidelines issued by Ministry of Home Affairs under Unlock-4, the service of Delhi Metro will be restored in a systematic manner from September 7. After the detailed SOP is released on the metro, further information will be given for the use of the metro by the general public.
