which is good news, the weekly positivity rate, and daily positivity rate both remain in the single-digit category currently slightly above nine percent. the positivity rate has remained below ten percent for the seventh consecutive day. fails of a possible third covid 19 wave are also running deep across certain states in fact in Maharashtra. as Ahmednagar city, authorities have been alarmed as more than 8000 children have been infected with the virus this month. 

the cases account for about 10 percent, of the cases in the district and now additional steps are being devised to minimize. the impact of a possible third wave, that may affect children more so as to avoid any shortage of beds, and oxygen, the administration is reaching out to pediatricians to make sure. that they are prepared for the third wave experts to have warned that a possible third wave could hit at the end of July or early August.

India recorded over 360 000 new infections on Sunday, now is the number of cases India has reported. in the last one week, you can see the number going down, on Sunday offering some respite for a covid hit India talking about covid mortalities India reported 3754 covid related deaths in the last 24 hours. 

more than 46,000 Indians have lost their lives to the coronavirus. until now India's second wave began in April, and the unprecedented surge in cases has burdened the health care system to a near collapse, according to the Indian health ministry, 10 states account for more than 70 percent of India's covid-19 infections. these states are Maharashtra, Karnataka, Delhi, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, West Bengal, Rajasthan, and Haryana, in a bid to contain the spike of infections. 

many states across India have imposed or extended their lockdowns. Uttar Akande, the state where one of India's biggest holy festivals, the Kumbh was held, will go into a lockdown starting on Tuesday. Delhi's chief minister, Arvind Kejriwal, extended the national capital lockdown. until next Monday, and this time around the Delhi metro will not be operational, as well states across the nation have reported a shortage in medical oxygen. 

as cases continue to pile up, and according to a recent report, Indian states are loaning each other, the much-needed oxygen on Thursday, daily received surplus liquid oxygen, after the country's top quartz intervention however neighboring state Haryana reported, a shortage of oxygen, in the end, Haryana borrowed 20 metric tons of oxygen from Delhi until its daily quota arrived Haryana's chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar later write to the union ministry Piyush goyal to increase the state's daily.
