The News Cover: India could see a staggering 1 million deaths, from covid-19. by the 1st of august, this is according to an editorial in the British medical journal Landsat, and if that outcome were to happen. they say that it would be the Modi government, that is responsible for India. squandered its early successes in controlling covid-19. the editorial says until April the government's covid-19 task force had not met in months.

The News Cover: well the government's scientific advisor in a press briefing just a little while back, has warned of the third wave, of covid. which he says is inevitable phase three is inevitable given, the high levels of the circulating viruses, what dr Raghavan, has said it's not clear on what time scales this phase three, with will occur this is terrible news given. the fact that India is just in the middle of phase two right now.
and we are all suffering immensely, we should prepare for new waves, the government has said this on the surge in Covid. they've also spoken about the so-called India double mutant, it's called the b1.617 variant, which essentially has certain features which enable antibody. escape in other words the antibodies in other words. it's easier for higher transmissibility people, get infected much faster.

and the vaccines themselves perhaps are not as efficacious. as they are in the original strain, and this is now believed to be something that is resulting in a large number of cases across the country. this has been confirmed by the health ministry today. two months after clinical information suggesting, the spread of this variant called b1.617 was reported by doctors in Maharashtra.

and elsewhere coronavirus, to go from here a phase 3 is inevitable given the high levels of circulating virus. but it's not clear on what time scale this phase 3 will occur hopefully incrementally. but we should prepare for new waves previous infections and vaccines. will cause adaptive pressure on the virus. for new kinds, of changes which try to escape it and therefore we should be prepared by scientifically to take care of that.

The News Cover: In Goa as well as across India, there is a severe spike of COVID infections, leading to a shortage of hospital beds and medicines. The Goa CM Pramod Sawant, worried by the increasing rate of infections, said functions will have a limit on the number of attendees and duration. If these guidelines are not followed he said authorities would stop the functions.

People said this was an excellent movie and it was something that should have been done months ago to contain the infections. Then this video emerged. Have a look. In this video, Deputy Chief Minister Manohar Ajgaonkar was seen dancing with family at a Haldi function. No one was following the rules and hardly anyone wore masks.

After the video went viral Ajgaonkar said, only limited friends and relatives were invited to the function. Residents of Goa were infuriated over the blatant disregard of the rules. A man from Goa's Capital Panjim said, "The deputy CM did not follow rules but the common man is forced to follow rules. There is a clear partiality for the common man and politicians. Those who break the rules must be put behind bars."

The News Cover: you can sense the desperation just to be in this crowd is to take a chance with covid but in India oxygen, is the difference between life, and death, they have waited for hours. and most will wait, in vain here supplies, are soon exhausted and the gates are closed. and I have just lost in November my father-in-law, and on 23rd April,l I have lost my grandfather-in-law, yes, I have been facing two days.

I cannot lose my father, any more salmon scours the shops, his sister aunty, and uncle, are all sick at home there's no oxygen. not even the basics he says I've searched everywhere, from a government accused of complacency. there is now urgency so a train thunder's past loaded with oxygen trucks. and the first consignment, of aid, arrived from Britain ventilators and machines, that will extract oxygen. from the air tonight the "united states" promised to send vaccines to a country.

The News Cover: So there is no access to information. Are you satisfied with the COVID-19 situation portrayed on the TV? No, I am not satisfied at all. You see for yourself here, you’ll only see dead patients. The backyard is worse.

Why do you think the TV is not highlighting the situation? Because everything is collapsed, sir. Nothing is proper. If the government knew about the pandemic, why didn’t they pay any attention? The government is doing rallies.

They’ll play petty politics. But people are dying here, right? The common man is dying here. People who have money and connections they are getting saved. What is the government doing? NOTHING. They spend in useless projects.

They made Sardar Patel's Statue... If they had made hospitals instead, so many lives would have been saved in this situation. If the BJP didn’t make the house that they made for themselves and instead made hospitals, the money wouldn’t have gone to waste.

These projects are useless for us now. No oxygen cylinders at one hospital and no beds in the other. People are running from one hospital to another. We can clearly see the flaws in the infrastructure. We cannot give excuses for lack of money.

If you remember, on 27th March PM CARES fund was launched. The donation amounted to 3000 crores on the first day itself. But political parties are busy in rallies. You can notice the attitude of the ministers. Corpses are falling, and they’re celebrating.

Corona spreads more than sneezing and coughing, explains how germs float in the air, Lancet explains

The News Cover: Corona Airborne. Can float in air particles. The Lancet, one of the world's most popular medical journals, reports. Airborne means coronavirus that can be spread by airborne particles or aerosols. Now the question may arise how the virus spreads in the aerosol? Does this mean that the infected patient sneezes or coughs or water droplets from the mouth or what is called a droplet spreads the virus? That's not always the case, researchers say. But the virus will not spread from the sneeze and cough of the corona patient. The researchers explained in detail how the virus can spread in the air and how the infection can enter the body. He also gave guidelines for staying healthy.

The Lancet talks about how the virus spreads in the air.First of all, scientists have been saying for so long that viral strains may be mixed in the water particles coming out of the human nose and mouth. When these water particles come in contact with air, they are filled with water vapor to form larger water particles. This is called air droplet. Floating on this droplet can spread viral strains.

Researchers at The Lancet say that it is not possible for large water droplets or droplets to survive in the air for long periods of time. Because, under the influence of gravity, any heavy object cannot float for long. So it is wrong to think that the large droplets that are formed due to sneezing or coughing will spread the virus far and wide. Second, this time the question may be how the virus is floating so far? Researchers say that viral strains are spread by making small particles that are floating in the aerosol or air base. Aerosol is a small particle, its diameter is not more than 5 micrometers. So it is possible for the virus particles to spread far and wide by floating in these particles.

To put it simply, Even if you are more than 6 feet away from an infected patient, the virus particles can still float in the air and enter through your nose or mouth. Just as polluted particles floating in the air enter our bodies every day with our breathing, so is this matter. According to scientists, SARS-COV-2 virus particles can spread in aerosols, which means that they can enter the body with the air. So we need to be much more careful. Wearing a face-mask is mandatory, it is very good to have a face-shield or face-cover in the crowd. Mutual distance must be maintained and cleanliness must be observed. If the infected patient's sneezing and coughing does not spread?

The Lancet report says it also spreads, but not over long distances. If you are very close to an infected patient, water droplets or droplets of the virus can enter the body. These droplets have a diameter of about 100 micrometers, cannot float in the air for long, Fell to the ground. Rather than talk about it, small aerosols can last longer. Researchers say that if asymptomatic patients do not have symptoms of sneezing or coughing, then how is the infection spreading from them! The reason is this aerosol. Asymptomatic patients can spread 33-59% more infections. Talking, screaming, singing, etc. can spread more than the infection is spreading in the patient's sneeze.

Tiny water droplets come out a lot when talking. By harboring them, virus particles can spread. This aerosol is also one of the reasons for the spread of infection among caged animals in zoos. It has also been observed that infected animals have been isolated, even after the infection has entered the body of an animal kept in a distant cage. This means that the virus is spread by airborne particles. Asymptomatic patients do not show symptoms of sneezing and coughing, then how the infection is spreading from them! The reason is this aerosol.

Scientists have given another important piece of information in the medical journal Lancet. The report says that the risk of contracting the virus is lower if you are in an open space from a closed room. Because the concentration of the virus is much higher in a closed room. If there are more people in the same room, the spread of the infection will increase. But if you stay in the open, the risk of infection will decrease.

The risk of spreading the infection is also high in similar closed vehicles. And if the car runs AC, the infection can spread more quickly. Researchers say it's best to hang out in the open air rather than in a closed room all day. Then fresh air will enter the lungs. Even if the infection does enter, the virus particles will be inactivated by getting fresh oxygen from the environment.

The risk of respiratory problems will not be so high. Researchers say Stay at home but keep the windows open. The higher the air circulation, the lower the density of the virus. But staying in a closed room all day will increase the risk of infection. And when out on the road, it is better to avoid contact. Virus particles can spread not only from an infected patient's clothes or used items, but also to any surface or smooth material. The infection can also spread from there. So we have to be careful in all aspects.

Gujarat news: Long wait at Gujarat & Chhattisgarh Struggle to Cremate COVID Patients

The News Cover: There is a spike in coronavirus infections in India and the mortality rate has increased too. India had a limited number of crematoriums as the mortality rate was low. Cremations have increased because of coronavirus infections, old age, and other health ailments. People have had to wait for 8-12 hours in a queue to cremate COVID patients.

This is happening in Gujarat for the last 1 week. In Surat, Gujarat around 25 bodies were cremated simultaneously on wood pyres at night. Officials said, Hindus generally do not cremate the dead after sunset but because of the coronavirus, crematoriums are full and there are long queues.

This is why 25 people were cremated simultaneously. Gujarat authorities have reopened defunct facilities to cremate the increasing number of dead in the state. Metal pyres that utilise less wood have been installed to speeden the cremation process by generating more heat. Another incident was reported in Chhattisgarh.

A garbage truck which did not contain any trash, was used to ferry the bodies of patients who died of COVID-19 to the crematorium. How shocking! The workers were wearing PPE suits and transporting the bodies. The shocking incident is because of shortage of ambulance amidst the spike in cases.
