Government's 9-Point Rejoinder To Mamata Banerjee On PM Meet Claims

The News Cover: in a nine-point rejoinder, government sources tore into Mamata Banerjee's account of the Friday incident government sources have said that Mamata Banerjee has given entirely false statements and boycotted a meeting with prime minister Modi after agreeing to attend it prime minister Modi never gave permission to Mamata Banerjee to leave. the review meeting as she claims that's what the government sources have said ms Banerjee has repeatedly alleged that she waited to meet the prime minister now government sources have countered that with time details.

and said that it was the chief minister, who made the prime minister wait it's a nine-point rebuttal to the month of energy's accusations. which she has been making for the last two three days, since this controversy has erupted the first point she has said that she was informed about. the program about prime ministers very late and she had to cut short her schedule to meet for the program to attend the preems program but the fact says that the prime minister's program was informed to both urisha and the West Bengal government simultaneously and ulisha did not complain about this in fact west Bengal is the one which has been complaining and she was asked to wait for to meet the prime minister this is the second acquisition she has made but the fact says that prime minister landed and she came after the prime minister landed to kalaikunda so which is of course says that it is against the protocol and this goes against the behavior of which is the established norm of expected form of chief minister again on the issue.

of the chief secretary the government sources are very clear that he violated the service rules because he was supposed to make a presentation before the prime minister but he was part of the politics which was paid by West Bengal chief minister so he did not come for the presentation. that is why the government of India has taken action against him and by giving him extension or by defeating him as an adviser to the West Bengal government Mamata managers confirmed the allegation that he was part of the politics this is what the government sources are saying and one more point which i briefly want to mention that Mamata Banerjee head said that she took permission from the prime minister to go to Digha for the to visit but the fact is that pm did not give permission to Mamata energy to leave the meeting so this is very important point which has been contradicted by the government sources where Mamata Banerjee has said that she has taken permission from the prime minister to leave for a Digha visit but Sosa is saying that pm did not give her permission to leave.

"Terror Created By Mamata Banerjee Presence...": CBI In Narada Case Plea

The News Cover: the CBI has made the west Bengal chief minister party to the Narada-related case. in the Calcutta high court Bengal law minister, and the trinomial mp Kalyan Banerjee also made the party. to this case, the names have been added in a plea for transfer of the Narada case outside of Bengal, this is a major escalation in this entire case that has been seen at least four two of the cabinet ministers presently in the month of managery government and two other senior leaders also spending. a night in jail, because of the recent sort of escalation that we've seen and progress. that we've seen by the CBI on this front chief minister's office included and now also asking for the case to be transferred out of West Bengal.

this is a serious escalation well not just escalation I've been reading the CBI petition for transfer, of the Narada case. and if you have a quick glimpse through it you could probably be forgiven for calling it a declaration of war now. why the CBI has gone and added Mamta Banerjee, the law minister molly, and trinomial mp Kollen Banerjee, to the petition as respondents you know they have sort of expanded on that in the petition and the reasons are to put it briefly you know. the terror created, by these three entities that's the word used terror created by the chief minister. who sat on a dharna at the CBI office on Monday and threatened action against CBI officials apparently under. the disaster management act and the epidemic act this is what the CBI is saying, in its petition apparently lawyer Kalyan Banerjee, who is also through mp he rushed into the CBI office and threatened officials with dire consequences and he came with a whole lot of other lawyers as well as for the law minister Mr Malay ghata he apparently was present throughout the day.

at the bank shall court which is where the CBI special court is located in Kolkata and he was there throughout the day. with 2000 to 3000 supporters, the petition says which is why at the end of the day. they feel you know the CBI court gave the order of bail for all four accused, the CBI also goes on to say that the CBI was scared of creating. a law and order situation and therefore they did not ask for custody of the four arrested persons, at the end of it on Monday. the bail was stayed by the Kolkata high court, and that is the appeal that is currently being heard at the high court virtually and the CBI petition for transfer of the nard case from out of Bengal. is also being simultaneously heard but the CBI making a case for against, the chief minister Mr kalian Banerjee, and the law minister for intimidation terror, and so on it's a very strongly worded petition uh we'll have to wait and see what the judges decide.

Mamata wins West Bengal but loses in Nandigram

The News Cover: On one hand where the cases of coronavirus infections are being counted in the country, On the other hand, on 2nd May the election results were counted from whose rallies the coronavirus actually spread. And the results are very shocking. If we talk especially of West Bengal, Everything predicted by the exit polls turned out to be wrong. Not one or two, all of the exit polls failed badly. They predicted that TMC would get at most 180 seats. But in reality, TMC got an almost two-thirds majority.
Not only did they cross the 200 marks, But their performance also was better than in the last Bengal election. Not only the media, the Home Minister of the country, Amit Shah, had also predicted the result very confidently after every phase of the elections. After the first phase, he had said the BJP will win 26 out of the 30 seats. After five phases he had said that BJP had already won 122 seats. And overall he had said that BJP will cross the 200 marks. But this did not happen. Often politicians put across such claims to build up the narrative. So that there is good momentum in the elections.

It's not a big deal. But there was one prediction where big stakes were involved. The predictions of the political strategist Prashant Kishore. He had said that BJP will not cross the 100 mark. The number of seats they win will not be in 3 digits. If they do win, he'll leave his profession. Not only did his predictions come true. But they came true at the time when the whole media ran with the exact opposite claim. After winning the election, he accused the Election Commission of a very serious crime. Generally, it is when parties lose the election that they blame the EVMs or Election Commission. But here, even after winning with a two-thirds majority, he said that the Election Commission tried its best to help BJP win.

And this happened for the very first time in the history of the country. That the Election Commission was so biased towards a party. "With a blatant - blatantly partial Election Commission, We went through hell. They allowed - they gave the free hand to BJP to do whatever they wanted to do." He gave several reasons for this. First, stretching the election for 8 phases. Just take the scheduling of the election, 8 rounds, in the pandemic time, what made you do this? Only because you wanted to give more opportunities to the BJP leaders to come and campaign. Second, designing the election phases in such a way that in the first couple of phases the areas where BJP is stronger goes to the election.
And in the areas and districts where TMC is strong, conducting elections in each of those districts in four phases there. So that no momentum can be build up. In the last, so many years, when a district was carved out in four phases? Just because the district was supposedly seen as a Trinamool stronghold. That district polled in four phases? Just because you wanted to have 4 seats, 5 seats, 10 seats so that no momentum can be built in favor of Trinamool. The bulk of the seats that BJP won in Lok Sabha went for poll early. Is it a coincidence? Third, using religion, all the religious politics used during the campaigning allowing it to continue.

And not taking any action against those politicians that are politicizing Hindus-Muslims. If we talk about religious politics, then some people are still trying to drive a wedge between Hindus and Muslims even after this election. It is especially seen frequently by the BJP supporters. They're saying that the TMC's win in the election is because of their minority vote bank. That all the Muslims come together to vote for TMC. And these same people curse Hindus for not voting for their party. They wonder if the people know that the Hindus in Bengal are in danger. That all the Hindus should come together to vote for their party.

This same strategy is used every time in every state. They believe that they can scare and fool Hindus to get their votes. But let me tell you the reality, friends. In Bengal, 70% of the population is Hindu. And if you see the vote share of TMC, it is almost touching 50%. By seeing this you might say that around 20% of the Hindus voted for TMC. But even simple maths doesn't show the reality. In many seats in the South West area of Bengal, the Muslim population is less than 5%. But see that all the seats there have been won by TMC by a large margin. This data clearly shows that labeling everything as Hindu or Muslim needs to be stopped. Even though BJP lost in West Bengal if you see the overall results of all the five states, Then it is not an embarrassing defeat for BJP.
They have become the main opposition party in West Bengal. They had won less than 10 seats in the last election. Apart from this, the BJP Alliances have clearly won Assam and Puducherry. And reality, friends, is that this is more of a loss for Congress than BJP. Congress lost the States of Assam and Puducherry. And in West Bengal, they lost their role as the opposition. And in Kerala, LDF's victory was historic. For the last 40 years in Kerala,

LDF and UDF have been winning alternatively. But this time it didn't happen and LDF won its second continuous term. This is also a big loss for Congress. If Congress really wants to win, then they need strong local leaders. It has been seen time and again in the last several elections. Wherever there has been a strong opposition leader, it was easy to defeat BJP. Be it Amarinder Singh of Punjab. Arvind Kejriwal in Delhi.

The News Cover: India is battling the 2nd wave of the Coronavirus which has led to a shortage of oxygen, medicines, and hospital beds. However, at the same time, their campaigns for the 2021 elections were being held. This was going on despite the current situation. Election results have been announced for the states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, West Bengal, Assam & Puducherry.

Let me tell you about it. West Bengal Chief Minister & TMC leader Mamata Banerjee aggressively campaigned prior to the elections. While the opposition did the same. There was strong competition between the two parties. TMC has now beat the BJP in these elections. Mamata Banerjee is set to begin her third consecutive term as the chief minister of Bengal. Mamata lost her seat in Nandigram but she won the state.

For 10 years the AIADMK had governed in Tamil Nadu. M K Stalin, the DMK president, had waited for 40 years to be Tamil Nadu’s CM. After a long wait, the 68-year-old is all set to become the Chief Minister and make his dream come true. Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan, a CPI(M) leader after his first term had stood for selections. He has now won and will become the CM again. In Kerala's history, he is the first to continue in office after completing a full term. He is 76 years old. BJP is set to form the government in Assam for the second consecutive time. The AINRC will take power in union territory Puducherry after winning 16 seats in the 30-member assembly.

The News Cover: the surprise announcement of the day from west Bengal the spmp Jayaram Bachchan is now set to campaign for the West Bengal chief minister mumta Banerjee starting from Monday ms Bachchan is now going to be one of the star campaigners for the tmc she has arrived there in west Bengal.

as you can see that grand greeting and welcome for her in the state and she will be in West Bengal till the 8th of April now west Bengal whom do we have well surprise surprise Samajwadi party mp Jaya Bachchan who donned her samajwadiwati red cap but campaigned for the trinomial congress went ahead and also gave people a lecture about,

how to wear a mask despite elections Bangladesh that is the big trinomial slogan and taking that forward another daughter of Bengal come to fight for Mamta Banerjee not that month of energy needs fighting for Jaya Bachchan made that clear in her political debut in Bengal to ligand her first stop for the tribal candidate there.

who is one of Mamta's closest ministers, do not hijack my religion from me do not never do not hijack my democracy and my democratic right from me babul shuprio is bjp candidate at taliganj one of five mps that bjp has fielded foreign is in Kolkata for three days the big question is will she share the stage with mamta Banerjee at any time it would signal Mamta's national stature and ambitions in coming days.

Nandigram Chaos, Huge Security As Mamata Banerjee Visits Poll Booth

The News Cover: CRP police, all kinds of central paramilitary forces, marching into the loyal accounting center over here is the counting center they are marching in there literally to rescue Mamta Banerjee who has been stuck there for over one hour caught between two quarters a Kurukshetra if I have ever seen one in the middle of what is supposed to be a completely democratic process of electing leaders.

the trouble at boy all started around 1:30-2:00 clock when Mamta Banerjee came here to register her protest against reports that her polling agent was not allowed into this particular booth and that's when the first stop when she came out of her home this afternoon was here she came in down the road over here on a wheelchair which is at least a kilometer and a half and then suddenly villagers erupted over here and started shouting jay Sriram slogans

let me show you they are still there the police have managed to push them. back a little but not much they are all over there sporadically shouting Jai Shri ram slogans even now a whole bunch of villagers who seem to be very angry with Mamta Banerjee here they are security forces in growing numbers keeping them back

so this is where you have the bjp supporters and on my right over there you have the trinomial supporters and the police security forces posted, in between to ensure there is no clash and all this while since about two o'clock in the afternoon Mamta Banerjee has been stuck inside

the polling booth and she has been talking to multiple leaders i know that I heard her speak to the governor and she complained to him that this was a failure of the election commission of the administration that the election commission was in charge of that she feared for her life and you know felt that the election commission should respond and here

we have a situation when a huge police force has arrived a few minutes ago with a huge contingent and election officials they have gone in and met Mamta Banerjee now we are waiting to see what happens next i can see that the officials have stepped out of the booth we'll have to see what they do to control the situation and get the chief minister out of here

West Bengal Elections 26 Of 30 Seats In Bengal Phase 1 Polls Voted For Trinamool In 2016

The News Cover: over 73 lakh voters from five districts all over purulia and jargram and parts of bangkura west medinapur east midnapore will vote in around 10 200 booths in this first phase of the elections in bengal of the 30 seats in bengal the bjp is contesting 29. one has been given to the all jharkhand students union the trinimul is contesting 29 and will support an independent candidate, for the other seat the congress is contesting only five seats and its finally in this bengal election

that's been a very shrill election in the lead-up and you have the bjp there you know challenging the trinimula congress what are the reports so far well the report so far is like as usual in Bengal huge turnouts already at polling stations you know waiting from early in the morning to try and get and get their vote early before it gets really hot remember

the areas that are voting today 30 seats are in the jungle mahal area a lot of the seats also eastern west and these are really hot arid districts and there are concerns about the temperatures rising in the afternoon and so huge turnouts already but then that's always been the case in Bengal people make an early start of voting and you always had about 80 plus of turnout and that is already indicated today

now what is important about this particular phase and remember we are voting in eight phases and this is just the first phase the 30 seats that are going to oppose are very very contentious you know in 2016 the cinema over here these seats had just as many as 20 60. so you would have thought that this was the complete trinomial bastion but in 2019 the bjp managed to upset that and they led in the 2019 parliamentary elections

the bjp led in 20 out of the 30 assembly segments and therefore we see hugely contentious there is also a fair amount of tension and that's simply because many of the polling stations are deep inside forests to remote villages and huge security bundles have been put in place to ensure no untoward incident parts of you know jungle mahal area war mowers dominated last night there was an incident of a vehicle of the election commission being set on fire at combined one now in Purulia.

we don't really know what happened but initial reports were that come you know marched people came and kept the vehicle on fire and so there are these tensions of probable violence and therefore what is significant is the huge deployment of security forces in this phase 730 companies for 30 seats I mean that is quite something else I really wanted to ask Rasmussen how many companies of craft they have in for 47 feet polling today in that state in Bengal 713 that's huge hopefully things will pass peacefully.

Explain Bengal Election Will Modi be able to breach Fortress Mamata in Bengal?

The News Cover: "Tomar Naam Amaar Naam Vietnam Vietnam" was a popular slogan when the left front had a stronghold in Bengal. Communism was on the rise. But, only as an ideology. Mamta Banerjee, on the other hand, actually fought for the farmer rights, with the slogan: 'Tomar Naam Amaar Naam Nandigram Nandigram' Result: Tata's Nano & Left front govt both lost Bengal.

Today, BJP is trying their best to make it into Bengal assembly with the slogan: Tomar Naam Amar Naam Jai Shri ram Jai-Shri ram. Mamta Banerjee may not like it but this Bengal election will be a fight between identities. After 2019 success, BJP plans to win the Bengal assembly elections but can they succeed? Or, will Mamta Banerjee win again against the odds? Or, will the left parties rise again?

Let's learn about the upcoming Bengal elections. Starting with BJP's 8 points that may help their chances. They performed very well in the Lok Sabha 2019 elections. RSS has been expanding all across Bengal. State president Dilip Ghosh is an RSS member as well.

RSS + BJP is a great combo. However, sometimes, Dilip Ghosh gets tangled in his own words like saying that Non-Bengalis have done more for Bengal than Bengalis themselves. But, overall, their chances seem good. In 2014, even after winning Lok Sabha, BJP couldn't do well in Bengal assembly elections.

So, they approached Mukul Roy, formerly a member of TMC. Not just him, Suvendu Adhikari, and Sovan Chatterjee, all were involved in the Saradha Chit Fund scam. But now, after leaving TMC and having joined BJP, they have been granted top political positions.

Many jokes that Bengal BJP is mostly governed by TMC leaders, hence BJMul. By using imported faces and talents from other parties BJP has done well in other states as well Mamta Banerjee's image may be clean but her party people are involved in one scam or another.

The biggest of which is the Saradha Chit Fund scam. But what hurts people more is the 'Cut money' scam in which the local politicians take their cuts off a big project. In fact, this happened even with the relief package for Amphan victims.

BJP is highlighting these key points. BJP accuses Mamta Banerjee of appeasement politics, that she works majorly for the Muslim population. BJP has mixed into this the promises of CAA-NRC. They claim that Bangladeshi intruders are destroying the culture of Bengal. Amit Shah has called these people termites.

This can lead to polarization which may benefit BJP. Matua community has a strong presence in Bengal who got land, ration card, and other facilities except for citizenship. Implementation of CAA will provide citizenship to these people so they may get inclined towards BJP. Fun fact - Mamata Banerjee has a nephew whose name is Akash Banerjee.

Just think it through: Would I plead for memberships if I were? Anyway. These days Mamta's other nephew Abhishek Banerjee is in the news. BJP has therefore got an opportunity to call out nepotism. A formula that works. Recently, the CBI team investigated and inquired Abhishek Banerjee over the coal scam allegations. Oh oh...Nepotism plus corruption...killer narrative.

Left ruled over Bengal for 30 years. Not much development happened. Even TMC could not bring about major changes in the state of Bengal. Now, BJP says that they will ensure 'Asolo Parivartan'. They claim that when the center and state both have BJP, ache din will come.

Mamta Banerjee has the Bangla advantage. But, this time, IT cell is in full flow, led by Amit Malviya. Their target is 50 lakh social media messages every hour...in other words digital flooding. Finally BJP has suddenly fallen in love with Bengal. Modiji speaking Bangla Nirmala Sitharaman quoting Tagore, tribal leader Birsa Munda being remembered, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose claimed as their own.

The goal is to win over the hearts of Bengalis. Because Bengalis are very emotional people. This will help remove BJP's outsider tag. Now, moving on to 8 points that may work in TMC's favor. How are they so confident despite double anti-incumbency?

Mamta Banerjee has partnered with political strategist Prashant Kishor. She is being projected as the true daughter of Bengal and BJP is shown as outsiders. A very effective strategy. TMC is showing that Bengali children are healthier than Gujarati children.

That unemployment in Bengal is less than the national average. That economic recovery of Bengal has been smooth after a corona. Mamta Banerjee uses politics 'to give to get something. Targeted welfare has been practiced, such as schemes for women. Opponents say that she has a Muslim vote bank. But, on the contrary, women have a substantial Vote share as seen in Bihar Election.

TMC members may have been involved in corruption cases but Mamta didi's own image is good as new. No allegations against her. So, critics also say that TMC is a one-woman party. But, Mamta believes otherwise. The strongest point that will work in TMC's favor is TINA (There is no alternative). In Bengal, BJP is fighting the election under Modiji's leadership and his vision for Bengal. But, the voter wants a CM face, which only TMC has.

EC Asks Health Ministry Remove PM Photo From Vaccine Certificate, complaint TMC

Saturday, March 6, 2021

The News Cover: sources say that the election commission has asked, the center to remove photographs of prime minister Narendra Modi from covet vaccination certificates and to follow' the moral code of conduct guidelines in letter and spirit now.

This remember follows a complaint by the trinomial congress to the election commission against prime minister Narendra Modi's photographs on vaccination certificates along with a message source say that in a letter to the home ministry the election commission said that the model code of conduct must be followed in letter and spirit in pole bound states this is a very significant development.

TMC of course had you know raised this as a concern with the election commission that when the model code of conduct is in place you can't have the prime minister's photograph on vaccination certificates yes actually once the elections are announced the poll code model code comes into effect so you might have seen the way in the poll-bound states the statutes of the leaders even the prime minister's photo or the petrol banks all have been covered that's a standing instruction so when the photo appeared on the vaccination certificate then TMC raised this issue and then after that the poll panel started

The election commission sources remember have said that since, the vaccination certificates across the country carry the prime minister's photograph the health ministry should find a way not to carry the pm's photos in pole bound "West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Assam, and Puducherry" so "what essentially has happened is that after the TMC complaint?  the election commission has sought a report from the West Bengal chief electoral officer and then a report from the union health ministry it then wrote to the health ministry calling for the removal of the prime minister's photographs in the poll-bound states the rest of the country will perhaps still be seeing photographs of the prime minister all right I do believe that the Nathan is back with us Vedanta can you hear us yeah yeah go ahead right you.

We lost you while you were giving us the details, of what really the election commission has said see basically what happens once the elections are announced either takes or in parliament elections the poll code or model code comes into effect so as per the guidelines issued way back pm's photographs in the "petrol bank" or anywhere that should all be covered so based on that TMC raised this objection and wrote to the election commission saying that pm's photographs appear on the vaccination certificate which is against the model code it should be removed so after that the poll panel sat a report from the West Bengal chief electoral officer and also report from the health ministry.

So after examining that now the poll panel has written a letter to the health ministry saying that you please follow the complete poll code in later and spirit so sources also said that see this I mean program vaccination certificate is across the country so pm's photographs can appear in other states except these five states where polls are going so far this health ministry will have to find a way in this app or in its program to block pm's photo only in for these ''states west Bengal, Tamil Nadu, or some Kerala Puducherry'' so probably it may take a little time so ac has called the helping ministry please block photograph of the pm or in this five states and accordingly you alter your software so that will have to be done so finally pm's photo won't be appearing in the vaccination certificate on the poll-bound states.
