To prevent this lung disease in children, Kaninika advised to breastfeed only after birth. This means that the baby should not be given any food other than breast milk for the first 6 months. Babies who grow up on breast milk have a much lower risk of any infection, including pneumonia, they said. The child should be given vitamin A on the advice of the doctor. Because vitamin A helps to keep the epithelial cells of the lungs normal. In addition, ticks have a significant role in preventing pneumonia in children. Measles increases the risk of pneumonia. In addition, diphtheria and hip B vaccines and pneumococcal vaccines can prevent the disease in children.
