News Cover: Today 27 may, the result of the Higher Secondary (West Bengal HS Board Examination) has been published. From 10.30am, the candidates will be able to know their results (Class 12 results). Today at the Vidyasagar Bhaban, at the Rabindra Milon Stage, at a press conference by 10am, the results were announced by Mahua Das, President of West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.
In this state, this year 7,77,266 candidates attended the Higher Secondary examination. March 13 was the last examination of the Higher Secondary. W.B.C.H.S.E has declared the results on the last 74 days of the examination. The exam started on the 26th of February. In this state, after completing the vote, result out has started one by one. The result of Secondary Education was published on 21st May.
This year the pass rate in the state is 86.29%. The last year pass rate was 83.75%. The number of boys from girls is 6.26% more. The pass rate of the boys is 87.44% and of the girls is 85.30%. The pass rate is more than 90% in East Midnapore, Kolkata, West Midnapore, and Kalimpong district. First time in the History of the Board, 137 candidates in the first 10's.
Two candidates were first from the Science department, Shubhan Mandal and Rajshari Barman, obtained number 498(99.6%). By getting 896(99.2%), Sangjukta Bose, Tanmay Maikap, Sandeep Saha, Ritham Nath, Md Masum Akhtar, and Anatam Mitra are in the Second Position. Barnali Ghosh, Supriyo Chakrabarti, Mrinmay Mandal, and Supriyo Shil are in the third Position by getting 494. Rakesh Dey is in the fourth position from the art department.
